And what if the Dodgers sign Soto and Sasaki? And they do incredibly well next year? The Dodgers start the year 50-5 or something? Where is the incentive to pull for them? There would be an incredible backlash against the Dodgers and baseball I think.

Hi Melissa. Major league baseball in a sense does have a salary cap in the form of the luxury tax. There are 4 different aprons or levels and teams pay a tax when they exceed a level. As an example the Dodgers will now exceed the 4th level by signing Snell.
