The farcaster feed may need more curation with the proliferation of mini apps with social posts (e.g. requesting seeds on @farville) These types of posts are critical to game dynamics but also can pollute the feed. Posting only to a games channel could help users protect their followers from unrelated content (although mini apps would then get worse distribution) This is going to be an interesting balance to try to maintain. Thinking about this because of this post from @ted which makes a great point of not spamming your followers with mini apps… but if I don’t request daily seeds I’ll never win a farville competition (cc @limone for thoughts)

yeah, greaet point. @ds8 pointed out the same thing about /framedl power users; they play every day and share their results. @woj.eth and i have been thinking about this, as well. no solution yet but top of mind for us.

🙏 i appreciate the mention and that you're thinking about it (it's hard) you've likely thought of these, but in case you haven't, i'm sharing my 2 cents: 1) distribution perspective: algo could group casts by mini app* (similar mechanics with trending topics, trending tokens...) — i think this could potentially work even better than the current "all over the feed" approach. i would definitely feel more comfortable casting mini apps and it would also partially solve the spam issue (no need to consider mini apps sharing into spam labeling solution if it's not actually spamming anyone's feed) 2) retention perspective: regular users could opt into less aggressive grouping, or it would be automatic based on whether they follow related channel** *—or group by mini app AND "topic" set by the mini app dev, e.g. "Daily Framedl", "Custom Word Framedl", "Looking for seeds"... **—a mini app may indicate channel affiliation in its manifest
