we keep shooting ourselves in the foot by coming up with one permissionless mumbo jumbo after another, attracting and encouraging (incentivising) questionable behavior and finally shaking it off until what's strong remains.

this ain't easy, but it's fun and whether you like it or not, we're still very much in the f'in around phase.

i love it here, i sometimes complain, sometimes build, sometimes connect with people and sometimes just have pure fun.

fwiw, i think it's awesome that we're doing "permissionless mumbo jumbo" (points, degen, ham, hunt, moxie...), paired with developer legos, speedrunning experiments — there's no place to learn like farcaster and i wish it had been here in my 20s.

someone likened FC to an incubator similar to YC (@tldr ?) and they're absolutely spot on.

Ie, that FC is fortunate to have the chance to figure out a lot of these “problems” that come with financialization (reply farming, etc) at our current scale. 

Bc these problems must be solved… do it early!

Farcaster is the Miller–Urey experiment for social and web3. 

Not sure what will come out, but there's so much concentrated activity and interaction that something will.
