it's kind of disheartening to see people use dune references to pay tribute to lynch like... do you realize david himself didn't like it? (try mulholland drive, blue velvet, twin peaks...)

Lynch made it, I loved it, I’ll give credit to him YES (one of my favorite bands, inspiration for my handle) themselves didn’t like their album Union yet it’s one of my all time favorite albums Several members hated Tales of Topographic Oceans (another album) yet it’s also one of my faves I’m not a fan of Lynch (the man). I’m a fan of some of his work. I’m the same for pretty much everyone I can’t find it now but I remember Samuel L Jackson in an interview saying something like “I don’t like it when people say they’re a fan of me. I do like it when they say I’m a fan of my work” That stuck with me and changed how I idolize performers, actors musicians. I changed from idolizing THEM and instead realized what I really enjoy is what they produce. And when they produce crap, I’m more open to it (ie YES’ last three albums
