I've been up to my eyeballs in React and I feel like I am being made to work harder than I would have to in other frameworks and moreover the only reason all of this is so popular is that because massive incomes are tied to it. I don't respect this.

Long story short I vibe coded my way through a simple mvp  using chatgpt and the tutorial. But now unfortunately I am learning things about how all this works.

The tutorial made architecture decisions I blindly followed that are now right fucking me. And when I take a step back i don't even really see the point lol overengineered mess

Common rookie mistake, you don’t learn how to write code, you need to actually understand what happens under the hood so that you know what actually goes/went wrong if something happens.

Fair, but scope creep doesn’t cancel out the original mistake, it just adds another layer. Blindly following a tutorial and dealing with shifting requirements are two separate issues compounding each other.

Everyone loves to say this, and to some degree it’s true. However there was scope creep here as well so I am not sure this analysis is entirely fair
