If you're ever in Tucson, it's worth checking out the Titan Missile Museum. It's the only Titan II site to survive (intercontinental ballistic missile during the Cold War). You can tour the underground launch control center, see the silo, and learn about all the operation / security involved in launching the missile

There's also a couple of airplane 'boneyards' around Tucson. Davis-Monthan Air Force boneyard (one of the largest globally)  closed off to public a few years ago unfortunately, but I think Pinal County Airpark might still be open for tours
