Federer often cites data that he won some high % of games/matches but just over 50% of points Right now I’m winning ~50% of points but losing too many games/matches I’m re-reading The Inner Game of Tennis but would love to hear ideas you have to close more games out?

It comes down to how you play the paints at different stages of the game itself. An example is playing aggressively at 40-0 and 0-30/30 while playing more conservative at 30-30/Deuce. Also winning the first two points of every game goes a long way

Most games I play go to deuce but then I can’t close them out. Maybe I need to take more chances earlier in the games knowing this is a weakness so they don’t get to deuce or I need to make some changes to remove whatever mental block is getting in the way of me winning deuce/ad points. Thoughts?

Yup, how do you play points if ahead 30-0 or down 0-30?

I don’t think I change my game enough in the middle of games / match play as I should. I should rest and think between games but instead I charge ahead and I know shouldn’t. Maybe that’s the easiest thing to try is just think about what happened between changes
