"post after post of nothing" is exactly why social incentives are so dangerous - they are incredibly effective for generating *volume*, but algorithms can only approximate what "good" volume really is so, eventually people find a meta of minimum input -> max incentive reward, and the ecosystem goes sideways. It’s so much infinitely better dealing with people spam giving away tips than it is dealing with a social algorithm that incentivizes people getting angry and saying horrible shit for attention. Degen incentives mostly good behavior.

I agree - even with the problems of tip farming etc, I still prefer it to ragebait for sure!
