You gotta remember that these are also people trying to find a job. You may be one person talking to 100s of potential hires. They may be one person talking to 100s of companies. It’s not an excuse, so much as an understanding of why they may not have had the opportunity to use your product yet. As an owner I understand the “well I’m important” feeling.
