People who hung out with Epstein shouldn’t be talking about Epstein like that

lol, the idea that the man responsible for the most lies of any president/presidential effort would be the revealer of the deceits of the old world is beyond laughable

Peter Thiel is always playing 4D chess. His FT piece is a power move—skipping WSJ is deliberate, signaling he’s talking to global elites, not just U.S. buisness people. His main point? The Internet has outpaced old-school media (newspapers, TV, cabel) in shaping politics and public opinon. He’s right: memes, tweets, and viral videos move faster then a Sunday editorial. Institutions can’t keep up. Big takeaway: the Internet isn’t just a tool anymore—it’s the battlefield. Everyone from Silicon Valey to DC to Bejing knows it. Thiel, as always, is ahead of the curve.

It was great and simple in its premise. We don’t trust the official narrative. We want the source material. It’s hard to argue against.

To my annoyance there are some interesting notions buried under the confused pointing and punning. If he wrote less like a precocious labradoodle that just licked the cliff notes of Orwell and history I would give it a Yelp score of 4/7 - might read again but not wouldn’t miss it if I never had. But since he does he gets a solid 3.

It’s the pseudointellectualism I’d expect from him. Brazil has nothing to do with the Monroe doctrine, apartheid has nothing to do with this moment unless Theil thinks history is all about himself, which I guess, he does and he doesn’t see the irony of Trump literally being ‘the ancien regime’ as he calls it.
