A bold suggestion for @jacek & the $DEGEN community: $DEGEN tips should become $tDEGEN to differentiate them from liquid $DEGEN. (This would follow industry norms like AAVE’s aETH or “ve” for vested tokens, etc.) Just gave away 500K $DEGEN in a /yellow contest & many were asking “tips or tokens?” WDYT?

This is a really good idea. In some way, tips really are unvested/locked up/staked degen. If some degen wants to go extra crazy, they should actually create the derivative liquid token to let people “withdraw” their tips early for a fee. Lido for unclaimed degen tips. 500 $degen

tbh I wasn’t even suggesting that tDEGEN be onchain, the vested token comparison was more about baking convention. My suggestion was really just a simple name change of the offchain IOU for clarity. But it is true that an onchain IOU would open all sorts of new design space. 👀
