Can't speak for the gen two, but I've had the first gen Ode since it came to market and I'm extremely happy with the investment. Love the flexibility to dial in grind size. Beautiful on the counter. Quick. Quiet. Easy AF to use. Biggest advantage of Ode 2, from what I remember, is the upgraded burr set, so you're taking an already amazing product and making it even better. I brew with Chemex and Origami and the Ode does a banger job for both. Worth every penny. James Hoffman did a review on the the Gen 2, and gets into the weeds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3f8dv72Ex6U As well as the OG: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QE4NT8MY-Zo

it is a beautiful machine and looks great on your countertop I think it works pretty well now, i *may* be too hardcore but have found some things i dont love - for one, i find the grind settings not sensitive enough, meaning at the finest level its not much different from mid-fine. and, the machine leaves a dust mess always requiring cleanup. ground coffee seems to get "stuck" in the machine require cleaning fairly often. again, maybe I am too hardcore about my coffee but ive yet to find better grinders than baratza. at the same time the ode is the best looking one and i use it either way, coffee > no coffee so you will enjoy :)

Have had one for a while and absolutely love it. I primarily use it for pour overs and my Moccamaster

I love these. We actually have switched to using this as our cupping grinder at the roastery instead of our EK

I agree with @vijay - i have one and love it, but only use it for filter coffee. It’s quieter and quicker than most of the other grinders I’ve tried, while retaining consistent grind. Also, less chaff.

I have one and love it. The construction quality is unreal! No good for espresso grinds though if you might branch out eventually.
