no no no, if one party controls the protocol then it is not a protocol. the centralization risk is massive right now

True, but then is it really an issue for competitor to Warpcast? Warpcast may be a centralization vector but q is how is the protocol governed

Pretty sure it can be forked already. But seems if someone wants to exert influence on the evolution of the protocol they should either have 1) a client/app with a bit user base or 2) have great ideas on what features can help grow/scale DAUs (tho imo DAU is a poor approximation for what we should be striving for) https://warpcast.com/dwr.eth/0x56a19814

To get that seat you need to have a significant user share that uses your app Aka itβ€˜s an onboarding and user acquisition problem Solve that, get the seat Warpcast is trying to do the same thing. Acquire more users to make it more viable for everyone else to build on Farcaster. But you need to believe them in building a protocol vs wanting to capture it all at the client level
