many people (myself included) couldn't attend farcon this year because it was so goddamn expensive. let's do it right instead of hosting it in the world's most expensive city?

It’s easy to host a meetup. It’s difficult to plan an event. As the number of people scales you now need connections or cash to get space, AV, food, etc.
