Maybe crypto would suck less if the SF VC bro crowd would stop making single staker vertically integrated L3s on their single staker optimistic L2 rollups, to try and capture volume on their single validator bridge, for their closed source app, for making payments in stablecoins that are basically “trust me bro”.

Many years ago I saw ZK with decentralized auth and micropayments via channels as a way for the internet to be advert free and pay as you go, you pay for the compute to render the page and contribute towards storage costs and distribute revenue to content creators and participants. This will never happen though…

Wake me up when HMRC think that wrapping ETH to wETH isn’t a ‘disposal’. The cancerous parasitic turds are basically energy vampires

Seems like a very blunt left brained thing to do, exactly what I’d expect from IIT, in the absence of wisdom more and more rules will be created

Most accountants I’ve come across have a hard time putting their pants on in the morning, let alone being useful as accountants. It’s really coloured my perspective of those who follow rules for the sake of following rules - they could be doing much more useful things with their lives like… flipping burgers or picking fruit

I would go with WebAuthN, Enclaves with open code and attestations, without any reliance on ThirdWeb. Rn the entire stack is theater. AppChain is an L2 with only one staker (making the fraud-proof system meaningless), deployed by Caldera (a "Rollup-as-a-Service" company), irrevocably tied to ThirdWeb's closed-source untrustable infrastructure. This vertical integration (F.inc → ThirdWeb → AppChain → your app) creates concentric moats where each layer is controlled by the same entities. You’ve rebuilt centralized control structures while using blockchain terminology as marketing. This isn't about pragmatism vs. purism - it's about deliberately capturing users in a closed ecosystem instead of contributing to an open, interoperable one. A single-staker L2 offers none of blockchain's security benefits while preserving all its limitations. It isn't advancing decentralization - it's systematically undermining it through every design choice.

Every aspect of the app relies on trusting closed source unverifiable code. thirdweb is closed source, their enclaves cannot be verified, there are no TEE attestations, everything goes through their http APIs, via a closed source web app through the centralized domains.

Right, but you’re not moving “the ecosystem” forward, you’re making unprincipled compromises that normalize bad practices to the benefit of a closed subset of moat builders who are the antithesis of decentralization. *slow clap* good job, you are the problem

Right so it’s a tiny wrapper around thirdweb that’s entirely centralized, not open source, broken fees link, hand wavy ToS. This is the exact kinda low effort trash that decentralization was trying to avoid

No T&C, no about/company page, no off-ramp details, no fee disclosure, no details about trust model, not open source… im gonna skip this one as it looks like centralized trash

I have an open $200 bounty with one of the devs to export Mixxx playlists to rekordbox XML format, but nothing yet. The Mixxx database is SQLite so you can try exporting it yourself, e.g. https://github.com/arximboldi/mixxx-db-tools/blob/master/export.py
