Why are we as an industry still building horrible user experiences? For this industry to thrive, we need to build things that every Internet user can use. The tools exist today to do so. And we’re leading by example @onappchain eth.cash

No T&C, no about/company page, no off-ramp details, no fee disclosure, no details about trust model, not open source… im gonna skip this one as it looks like centralized trash

We have t&c when you sign up. We’re a part of appchain.xyz, which is being incubated by f.inc. We don’t take any fees, only our underlying infrastructure providers do currently. Don’t know what you’re referring to on trust model. And yes we’re not open source currently. You can do whatever you’d like friend.

Right so it’s a tiny wrapper around thirdweb that’s entirely centralized, not open source, broken fees link, hand wavy ToS. This is the exact kinda low effort trash that decentralization was trying to avoid

We’re doing our best to move the ecosystem forward by building apps that people can use. It’s a free market, if you don’t like us, build something better — the ecosystem needs it.

Right, but you’re not moving “the ecosystem” forward, you’re making unprincipled compromises that normalize bad practices to the benefit of a closed subset of moat builders who are the antithesis of decentralization. *slow clap* good job, you are the problem

Would love to hear which compromises, in your opinion, are unprincipled? Decentralization is a spectrum, most projects in crypto are only decentralized via their marketing — their tech says otherwise. There are parts of our stack which are “decentralized” which we could market as such, but choose not to as we want to build compelling experiences that every internet user can use and that to be the focus. We want more people onchain, it’s not going to happen by continuing to build for the existing subset of users. You have to build experiences that every internet user can use. Hope to have you on the side of building products for everyone 👌
