Contracts hacked, all the ETH goes to North Korea, Kim Jong Un becomes the primary centralized validator on the network. All the core Eth devs get a weird mind virus that causes them to move to Pyongyang, Ethereum itself becomes a rogue despot state and is declared fully illegal everywhere outside North Korea.

Something like VCs not being willing to bankroll AVSs because the return as eth cash flows is less extractive than speculative ponzinomics with a new coin.

1) ETH price dumps abruptly, liquidating a large amount of LST/LRT positions 2) one or more LSTs depeg (could also be due to a staking pool bug), massive DeFi liquidations affecting the peg even more 3) DeFi destabilizes, bad debt arises 4) EiL security collapses LSTs/LRTs are safe. Leveraged LSTs/LRTs are dynamite.

Adverse selection of projects where the high-quality ones like Chainlink determine that they don't need Eigenlayer, and only 3rd tier projects that couldn't make it on their own choose EL to boost marketing/distribution. (I don't buy it though b/c the efficiency gains are too real to ignore.)
