🚀 @votecaster is the first governance platform for Farcaster-first DAOs and now has 💧 liquid delegation! We’re rolling out this new feature to make governance easier for DAOs, fanclubs and onchain organizations. With 💧 liquid delegation, you can transfer your voting power to a delegate who votes on your behalf (revokable at anytime). That delegate can also pass on the combined voting power to someone else, creating a chain of trusted members who simplify governance by pooling their votes. 1/5 Starting today, members of DAOs using @votecaster can delegate their voting power to other Farcaster users. This helps increase DAO turnout and achieve thresholds by delegating to trusted community members transparently. New features: 🫴 Delegate your voting power to another Farcaster user 📔 View all delegations in a specific DAO 💬 Notify all DAO members directly via Warpcast DC (if you're admin) Delegation is liquid, which means that if user X delegates to user Y, and user Y delegates to user Z, then user Z will aggregate the voting power of all of them. It's a joint effort. Once the technological challenges are addressed, it primarily comes down to political will and the desire to legislate in this direction. Outdated requirements can always be modified :) The idea is to start with a sandboxed environment and gradually increase the number of participants and what it is at stake.

Today, thanks to the technology developed by @vocdoni, Esquerra Republicana, the ruling political party in Catalonia, is holding a direct democracy voting process to decide the future president of Catalonia. I am very proud that so many years of development and effort have culminated in a Web3-based product that is being used by the masses at a national level. The voting phase started 1.5 hours ago, and more than 30% of the electorate has already voted. The average citizen is using a Web3 voting system without even realizing it... This is, at least, remarkable, considering that much of the space is basically a crypto casino. This is just the beginning. The voting revolution is here 💪 🗳️
