Tried it, aesthetically pleasing, wanted to like it, but the whole premise and interpersonal setup really feels like it’s targeted at teens. Does it get good later?

Yeah, it's target audience is teens and it blew up. Would love to have more dark humor like in The Addams Family (1991) and Addams Family Values (1993)
