quince order fulfillment is quite weird. their inventory is in india. from there they are first shipping to italy (why???) and then to the US?

If it’s FedEx end to end then sure. If FEDEX is only last mile, then could still be by sea. I ordered an Ohtani Jersey that took over a month. It was by Sea and the last mile IIRC was FedEx. 
You might want to reach out to the vendor :) I did that at some point after 3rd week
