I spent several years living in India after university (grew up in England)

I recollect days when Delhi or Ahmedabad were hazy with pollution, but the level we're seeing this week is simply shocking

Every single day in Delhi — the capital — is the equivalent to smoking FORTY cigarettes

delhi air pollution has become so familiar that just one whiff of it and i feel instantly at home

I distinctly recollect how my nose flares every time I've landed at IGIA

We now route our US-India flights via the GCC just so we can skip needing to land and transfer in Delhi

That said I absolutely love the city when the AQI is more tolerable
