the reason I liked farcaster so much when I joined was I was able to meet and get to know a new group of people that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to know. 

today its just not the same, there's not a lot of new content that I look at and go "woah", lately x has been doing for me

biggest need IMO is to bring more of this to the network, especially since distribution is so much better on x.

a lot of it boils down to giving net new users a reason to try it out, using crypto in a positive sum way is one direction, warpcast rewards is a great example of this.  

I'd argue it would be good to go further, one way off the top of my head could be using some/all of the $2.8 million ETH in the storage registry for developer/creator incentives -> which creates new experiences -> which creates new content

rather than rewarding people who already active here, i’d like to see warpcast rewards be used to incentivize new contributors to the ecosystem

not saying this would be more effective, lots of $$$ was spent on this and we ended up running out of funding, but could be a unique experiment that solved the fresh content problem (at a price)

I would rather see ~almost~ all new faces on the leaderboard + being able to tap into their profile to view content for discovery

They do — within the top 10 you have multiple people who are new this week or within the past 6 months. It’s adjusted based on follower count to benefit smaller accounts.

i agree with this so much, most popular chains/DEFI protocols have some version of this already so why not farcaster

Absolutely agree. New new unduplicated reach to KOLs is what it should be striving for as opposed to a popularity contest of existing habituated users.

Need to find a balance between top new contributors and top existing imo
