I have the Synology DS923+.

It has 4 bays, can also add an expansion of 5 bays later if required. It's all HDD and not ssd, but gets the job done well and I'm happy with it.

can you share more of your usage/process? if it's storage focused only or if you edit videos directly from it, for example?

For now, I use it as an archive - I empty my memory cards into the NAS after I return from a trip/shoot - so it is stroage focused only. For video edit, I either use my laptop's internal ssd or an external sandisk ssd.
