Was also sad to see Global Supertanker shutdown in 2021. Apparently 5 people died last year in aerial firefighting crashes. $150k is output of personal cost risk assessment, especially when insurance companies are refusing to provide fire insurance to these homes. $150k/year to save what could be a $5M+ home, the energy and effort of getting displaced, having to move and find a new home, plus all memories that come with it.
