why do you say that? You noticed regressions (or at least "slower progress") in other areas?

Guillermo has always been drawn to all the shiny new things. It's a strength and a weakness.

I think Vercel is bad and we migrated off (high pricing, react is getting worse, disagree w the philosophy of the company), however I think they're actually killing it.

Biz is going great

It’s actually a genius play imo.

Their generative ai is driven with rsc (that is rendered on serverless architecture and streamed from the edge) vs client requests going straight to llms

Bc ai is so slow, that means long running functions (this is how vercel makes its money - and can be person in middle)

It’s the narrative they need to exit at this point.
