When a woman is emotional what she wants is to be allowed to be emotional, without being judged or made wrong for it. "I don't need help from anyone, I can do it myself.” For most of my life I believed asking for help made me weak or unworthy, so I resisted asking for help and prided myself in being ‘independent’ or ‘self made’. But being independent actually kept me stuck, barely moving anywhere for the longest time. A friend recently shared her reflections on the movie Atlas and not only has it inspired me to watch it, but it reminded me how much power we unlock when we set ourselves free from the limiting beliefs around asking for and allowing others to help and support us. J-Lo’s character resists help from her AI partner, as she believes she can do it all alone and maybe she doesn't trust that the AI partner has the ability to help her. Sounds familiar right? I used to feel the same, but my life drastically changed when I embraced support from friends, family, coaches, holistic healers and EVEN AI...

When I read the phrase 'Talk dirty to me' my brain juke box starts playing the Jason Derulo song that goes... "Been around the world don't speak the language" 🙃🤣 But seriously there's absolutely no chance I would be intimate with a man again, unless he's heavy into nervous system regulation and trauma healing! This is a reminder to prioritise self care today and every day from here on. It's easy to neglect your own needs when you are devoted to helping others but it's important to prioritise your needs if you want to efficiently support others. And if your profession involves serving people personally such as life coaching and spiritual healing methods, it is especially important that you practice daily self care and partake in regular self nurturing practices to ensure that your cup is full before pouring into others. 🙏🏼✨💫
