"I don't need help from anyone, I can do it myself.” For most of my life I believed asking for help made me weak or unworthy, so I resisted asking for help and prided myself in being ‘independent’ or ‘self made’. But being independent actually kept me stuck, barely moving anywhere for the longest time. A friend recently shared her reflections on the movie Atlas and not only has it inspired me to watch it, but it reminded me how much power we unlock when we set ourselves free from the limiting beliefs around asking for and allowing others to help and support us. J-Lo’s character resists help from her AI partner, as she believes she can do it all alone and maybe she doesn't trust that the AI partner has the ability to help her. Sounds familiar right? Now, I create with ease, grow faster, and i'm able to fulfill my purpose much more efficiently and effectively and in ways I never thought possible. Resistance usually stems from fear, but when we let go of the resistance, we open ourselves up to infinite possibilities.
