With Biden dropping out, why won't there be emergency primaries? Seems anti-democratic to me.

I get what you're saying, but that is not how that works. Nor is it how it *should* work. There should be a run-off.

I’m not a Kamala simp, but having her front the ticket is at least slightly more democratic. If you voted for Joe in the primary then you at least voted for her as vp (aka president I case of emergencies)

Timing/organizing and my understanding is that Biden's war chest can go to Kamala. 

But I agree there should be some type of open primary.
