Increasingly, I don’t think web3 is the next iteration of the web that will replace web2, but rather a fork that will run in parallel.

Not a strong opinion yet but something I can’t shake. 

Also not sure how I feel about it if true.

Thoughts?

I like your fork reference. Using my analogy: like two threads running in parallel on the same processor (using shared resources, etc).

However, I do think web3 will absorb some inefficient sectors caused by web2, but not all.
