With the common misnomer of using Warpcast and Farcaster interchangeably, I wonder how much it might have helped switching the -er.

Farcast: sounds like a noun, abstract

Warpcaster: sounds like a tool like ruler, calculator, etc.

if we really want to go deep on naming and Hyperion 

Warpcast could be called Farcaster which is a specific technology given to the Hegemony by the TechnoCore which did permit instantaneous travel without debt time via the Void Which Binds

And Farcaster could be called Freecast which is the same travel via the Void Which Binds but initiated via one’s own ability to hear the music of the spheres and take the first step rather than an ultimately parasitic technology
