Crazy idea, but now that Ethereum mainnet gas is 0.417 gwei ($0.02 per tx), why not move Farcaster contracts to the L1 so that they become part of the canonical state on all the L2s?

I don't think that gas will spike on the L1 as it did in previous cycles. We're double blob size from 3 to 6 per block, Verkle trees, plus PeerDAS for L2s.

And worse case clients can use messengers on OP to batch to an L1 IdRegistry.
