Anyone here ever been responsible for choosing a cloud provider for their entire organization? How did you choose between AWS, GCP, Azure or others? What considerations or factors guided your decision? Was avoiding vendor lock in part of the equation? How large was the org and what industry?

@v gets credit for choosing AWS and Aurora, probably the most important infrastructure decisions Warpcast has made, since everything we do is influenced by that. Won't speak for him, but primary heuristic for me: what technologies/tools does your team know they can move most quickly with? Go with those.
