I’ll repeat this 1000 more times: consumer social apps in 2023 require a mobile-first experience. The last time desktop-first worked was in 2010.

What’s an example of an at-scale consumer (measured in DAU) crypto app that’s desktop?

I admit my ignorance.. but does wallets like Metamask/Coinbase wallet has more DAU on mobile or desktop? my intuition is that wallet usage would force dapps usage and because metamask doesn't work as well on mobile, ppl use desktop

The first step from any crypto app that wants to scale, either on mobile or desktop, is to move away from the need for MetaMask et al.

you mean first step is to build a wallet(warpcast) or use embeded wallet?

At its core, a wallet is mainly account management. Warpcast built it into the app itself instead of relying on a third-party app (wallet). Embedded wallets are basically the same thing, account management built into the apps through a library that provides more functionality than what Warpcast built.
