I was wrong 1/2 A few nights ago I fired off calling a meme a rug and called out some big accounts for promoting it. I didn’t name them specifically in that cast, so I won’t do it here either. But you know who you are and you have my apology. Good game, and good luck with the meme. I’m honestly happy to say that I was wrong. I casted instinctively rather than doing any DD as I just didn’t want to see people getting hurt. I heard that the liquidity was unlocked, minter unrenounced, wallet clusters, etc. I wasn’t aware of who launched it, and 99% of the time, these setups get rugged. I’ll repeat, I’m happy to say I was wrong and I’ll try to do more verification if a similar situation arises. Having said this. It’s still not somewhere I would choose to put my money. If you missed what you thought was a good entry from my cast, I apologize for that as well. Don’t follow my advice on memes. What I can say is that I haven’t made 7 figures in crypto from memes as it’s not my game.

2/2 I’ve had more success by investing in high fundamental/high utility, innovative projects with active development teams. I’m not trading all of my Moxie for a meme. I’m choosing to parlay it into Fan Tokens as they are currently yielding high triple digit APR and giving the added utility of increased Far Score. I know it’s the safer choice, and not a pure degen play, but that is just how I operate. Could there have been potential for synergy, yes, of course. But really only if it was a more pro moxie project, and I feel it was launched as the opposite of that. The part I take issue with is the mantra of sell all of your Moxie to buy the meme. I think it’s divisive, creates more tribalism on Farcaster and we really don’t need that. They are your earnings, you can do what you choose to do with them.

no POVs on what people do with their money, but I will say this: selling Moxie for a meme ain't gonna build the more beautiful internet our hearts know is possible. Buying & locking fan-tokens is the best shot we have rn to make this farcaster flywheel spin /higher and /louder so more outsiders pay attention.

This resonates with me. Hard for me to rationalize aping into a pure meme coin. Feel much better putting capital in when there’s utility and a real roadmap. And respect for checking back in after a couple days and issuing an apology and correction. Easy, and even somewhat understandable, to just ignore it and move on without mentioning it again. Takes humility and integrity to step back, reconsider, and explain how you were wrong 🙇

Your courage to admit your mistake truly shows your honesty and humility! Though, I don’t think we can even call it a mistake! It was simply a warning to prevent a potential issue. I’m not in a position to make judgments, but what I’ve learned over these years of trading is that not everyone is meant to capture every gain, and one person alone isn’t going to harvest all the profits either 😄 I really admire that when you’re earning from a safe strategy you’ve built yourself, there’s no real need to take high risks or change course. I agree with your opinion about Fan Tokens and APR it's 100% true it's much more profitable then most of the memes ATM and big guns like you aren't willing to sell their moxie is really good for Moxie to grow more
