I love the Foundation story. The tv show was fine. The book didn't respect the author IMO - didn't try to entertain. But it was groundbreaking for the time and I respect that. 3BP is something where I should take my own medicine and push through, but every time I read it (even 50% in), I'm lost and un-entertained. Haven't seen the tv show there.

I couldn't put Three Body Problem down, and the ending of the third book is really what elevates the series to greatness. Dune did nothing for me. I have a theory that it can only really be enjoyed by people who grew up in super religious communities. Curious if that pattern holds here on Farcaster.
