it's aesthetically ugly that the place for high energy adversarial discourse is one guy's personal site, while the most "decentralization"-presenting places from Dweb Camp to bluesky etc enforce strict ideological conformity. maybe farcaster (the protocol) fixes this? would take an alt client and a totally new crowd.

Is "high energy adversarial discourse" supposed to be a good thing? Sometimes people just want to talk about the cool shit they're doing and aren't looking to get into a fight about it. Twitter's algorithm is designed to promote unproductive rage bait, and it's not surprising that many are looking for something more.

There’s a high degree of intellectual conformity here On Bluesky you can find people talking about stocks and financial markets with minimal politics Agree it would require a new client but the magic is amalgamating multiple communities and perspectives Niche communities get stale faster
