it's aesthetically ugly that the place for high energy adversarial discourse is one guy's personal site, while the most "decentralization"-presenting places from Dweb Camp to bluesky etc enforce strict ideological conformity.

maybe farcaster (the protocol) fixes this? would take an alt client and a totally new crowd.

To be fair, you can turn off the bsky moderation service, it's just "on by default" (and it's a fair thing to question whether these defaults are good or not)
