Twitter? appears to have a 10x boost these days for topics Elon personally likes, from natalism to Cybertruk promo videos
Wikipedia? heavily censored
Google Search? judge for yourself:

there was a brief period of somewhat credibly neutral online spaces. early Wikipedia, Google, Reddit, etc.

that is over. everywhere is either explicitly editorial (NYT) or has an active moderation structure pushing and suppressing specific political opinions (and, in some cases, politically-salient facts).

Byproduct of corporate interest rather than cypherpunk culture owning the both the infra and assets. Every digital space is now owned by a handful of companies that decide what is posted and if they exist at all.

The credibly neutral online era was in hindsight, glorious

Sounds correct, I agree, but what could be a solution?
