each FC account = ID onchain owned by an eth address (FID) FIDs rent storage onchain, data is stored in hubs (off chain network), hubs only store for FIDs w rented storage FID register ed25529 public keys onchain, private keys are used to sign messages, hubs only accept signed messages from registered key pairs
