What Defi lending apps have interesting user interfaces, in the sense that they convey risk and other financial information in an interesting way?

this is a good question and I’d be interested to see the examples mentioned. that said, a good part of what makes a given defi protocol safe is a combination of their TVL and time since deploy without exploit (basically lindyness) which is hard to convey in a UI vs. something like counterparty risk.

For sure. I'm really talking about in-system risk though, just mechanistic things like loan-to-value, borrow demand, etc. I can definitely see a UI that's *too* friendly, put on top of a protocol with weak underpinnings, being a major problem.

makes sense, understood! perhaps worth looking into Wildcat which is one of the first examples of undercollateralized lending. pretty much every other lending protocol (Aave, Compound, etc.) is overcollateralized.
