I dislike so many things about Europe but the micromobility is incredible. Every city I visited has never ending streams of people on bikes, scooters, motorcycles, etc. and that at the top of functioning public transportation. I so wish that US cities embraced it more.

Yeah I've been giving a lot of thoughts about it. At the end of the day I think people in the US like owning stuff. You can't own public transportation.

That’s a pretty good observation. But one can own their own bike? In fact the high end ones cost like a car. I honestly just want walkable cities. All I care about.

Oh yeah I saw that. Who knows. Cities look the same since they started but technologies improved significantly over last century or so. Maybe we find that this is in fact much more pleasant for us? Technically we are social animals and want to be around other people.
