I dislike so many things about Europe but the micromobility is incredible. Every city I visited has never ending streams of people on bikes, scooters, motorcycles, etc. and that at the top of functioning public transportation. I so wish that US cities embraced it more.

Yeah I've been giving a lot of thoughts about it. At the end of the day I think people in the US like owning stuff. You can't own public transportation.

Also a huge array of stuff like socio-economic mapping and etc to prevent property prices going down, but yeah

That’s a pretty good observation. But one can own their own bike? In fact the high end ones cost like a car. I honestly just want walkable cities. All I care about.

I think this could be it too. Curious about what else is holding us back? Living in nyc and they’ve made some moves to close off streets to car traffic and building out a pretty good shared biking system, Citi Bike. We need more tho, you’re right!
