Are there bands selling tickets with an NFT of the music from the concert attached yet? So that the ticket has resale value regardless of if you go to the concert or not?

It’s complicated. To do it you need to clearance from the label and publisher, and then label/publisher/artist of any samples. So not impossible but not easy.

That would be so cool. However, if the band works with a music label they might not have rights to do this. Corollary: If web3 can unshackle the musicians from music labels, it will revolutionize music. Forever.

I saw "Fred Again" last night, and he does this thing where he airdrops unreleased music to the first few people in line at his shows. Could see accomplishing the same with NFTs

We started a music label this weekend called Public Domain Music. Would love to partner with someone building an NFT ticketing system (we won't be building that, we're just building a website with a bunch of mp3s and helping our artists)

it’s usually the other way around & is one of the most common perks we’ve seen artists add buy music NFT —> get concert ticket
