No question about them wanting their own land. I just wonder if there are practical short-term limits when it comes to the logistics of rebuilding in that exact area (lack of utilities, unstable governance structure, unexploded ordnance and all) that may be overshadowed by a narrative perception of perpetuating displacement

The guy is a real estate developer at the end of the day

having their own land is historically a huge deal for palestine. i don't think there is really a question about how they feel about being displaced without a choice
