i would give him the benefit of the doubt if he so much as hinted at the displacement to be temporary, but he was explicitly asked multiple times and deflected the question by saying 'who would want to go back there? nobody would want to go back there'

I just wonder if there are practical short-term limits when it comes to the logistics of rebuilding in that exact area (lack of utilities, unstable governance structure, unexploded ordnance and all) that may be overshadowed by a narrative perception of perpetuating displacement
