If you're from EU/US and travel to developing countries try using tap water for brushing your teeth. Obviously don't drink it but that tiny amount is gonna help your body adjust and be resistant to local bacteria quickly. (And probably don't do this in India or places where tap water situation is really really bad.)

These might be more homeless protips, but when I was homeless at a younger age and living out of my car, I found Walmart parking lots to be the best place to sleep at and stay unbothered. Flying Js had alright showers, YMCA is a more cost effective route. Lots of coffee shops close to close have free food if you ask.

Sign up for a free walking tour on your first or second day in a new city. Really helps to get oriented, and a great way to connect with other travellers too, esp if travelling solo.
