Introvert/writer problems: On days when I have calls booked, it's always a crapshoot whether my brain will be able to shift back into "writing mode" after the call ends so I can get deep work done. Today's answer: nope. Nice try. Best I can do is this cast. Aspirational Zillow browsing it shall be, then. πŸ˜€

Introvert here. Context switching is something I constantly struggle with. I often have to gently remind my wife to give me time to shift attention from a focused task (often reading or writing) before she gets deep into a comment or question. Otherwise, I simply miss the first 30 seconds or so of what she says.

I frequently struggle with context switching also. I find the concept of "attention residue" (as described by Dr. Sophie Leroy) helpful. There's a name for this, and it's more common than many people think. https://www.uwb.edu/business/faculty/sophie-leroy/attention-residue

That sounds right up my alley. Thanks so much for sharing it. Adding it to my reading list.
