What’s your favorite way to get a steppable simulation of a tx that has occurred on an evm chain?

Tenderly, I haven’t used bytecode level stepping, but I think they have it, and they’re higher level tracing might work for you. Otherwise I think forge tx or debug will do what you need.

Not per-instruction, but sim explorer (formerly evm.storage) is very nice for per-call tracing, e.g.: https://explorer.sim.io/eth/0xdd493fb16a06db259c9e470afb182660539f64342501992fa10c11f694a6a9c6
