I tried out @tribedotrun. Here’s my notes on the user experience: - It’s the rebirth of the gated chat + token pioneered by friend tech - The retro design on desktop is nostalgic, easy to understand as a web3 user, but far too complex for a web2 user. Needs more design iterations to get to that point - My first task as a user was: “How do I join the tribes, which are the best ones? The most active ones?” - There’s no feature or easy way to find out, so I browsed through the top ones until I found one which looked interested and kind of active, it was @imran's for me. I decided to join and pay the price, it was a hefty 1.6 SOL to join. Topping up the wallet was fast and easy, as well as transacting within the app - I think it’d be a good idea to give users a “preview” of the tribe before paying up the hefty prices, and also emphasize that you can always sell back your membership, in my case, for 1.15 SOL.

- I found that it wasn’t really that active, Imran was barely there, engaged, I mean, he’s a busy person, who isn’t? I guess his tribe is not worth it - I scrolled through the chat and saw that Imran also airdroped some tokens to his tribe? This seems like a fun feature that creators can take an advantage of. I was also able to download the members of these tribes, wallet-twitter combination, and I can airdrop stuff to them directly as well My 2 cents on the experience - Needs to be more simple, needs to be mobile first, and normies should be able to join easily - Prices should be regulated, they are just too high right now relative to the value they provide in terms of actual engagement in the tribe and chatting - Finding the tribes I want to join is just too hard, I don’t think users will go through the struggle to do it manually Anyhow, I created a Tribe to test it out in the following days, join here if you'd like: https://www.tribe.run/user/xAUniAJiLTuthDN5iWmRLU4mYUpALY7Mmh6Ui8V8y1F
