i dont get why we need L3s/appchains

- custom gas token doesn't really make sense, if gas is gonna be abstracted away and so cheap anyways as to be negligible
- isn't base itself becoming super fast/cheap/high throughput anyways? are there really apps out there doing so much activity that base mainnet isn't good enough?

also don't see reason for posting DA to S3 over celestia or smth.

i managed to talk myself into L3s being interesting last year

reality is there aren't many, if any apps yet that really need what they provide

but it's a good narrative for future usage and adoption, a bit of a distraction from the now, and i can imagine scenarios where they'll be relevant
